I got stuck trying to help a guy in a M3

On my way home (chesapeake va) from class in portsmouth va i saw a car off to the side of the interstate (464) so i pulled over to see what was up and well his M3 slid of the road missing a light poll by less than a foot and stoped about 2 feet away from a ditch that would have swallowed his beautiful Bavarian masterpiece whole. so the shoulder was really muddy and he didnt have any recovery points and when i went to turn around to get back on the interstate my truck moved sideways and slid right into the soft stuff and to the frame i went... The guy said AAA was on the way and i could get pulled out too if i needed... Well some guy in a old f150 work truck stopped and turned around we hooked my strap up and he almost got stuck so then he got on the pavement and (he also shot mud all inside my truck which sucks to get out btw) well i was in 4low reverse and he was able to pull me free. So i thank its time for some mud tires. AND I GOT OUT UNDER FORD POWER SO YOU CANT JOKE I will see if i can get some pics but i dunno if i can its still raining/snowing out pretty hard.

FYI:

Most luxury cars (including BMW) have a little door in the bumpers you pop out. In the tool kit (or somewhere close to that), there is a screw-in hook for recovering the vehicle.

Just for next time.

I love having that little door with the tow bolt that screws in. I did have to use it once though. : /
Now whoever this guy was obviously clueless to his car. Good of you to stop.

Yeah he was like yeah its a bmw so it prolly some kind of trap door somewhere. At fist he said just hook it to the arm and i told him i would not do that cause it would bend all kinds of million dollar parts

Surprisingly, many of these owners don't even know about that hook attachment. Goes to show you who reads their manual 'cause they wanna learn everything about the car versus who purchased the car only because they want the "status" factor.
