How Much Do You Use Your Cruise Control?
#26
I use mine on the highway and interstate. I use a radar detector all the time, her name is Raydenne and she does a fine job.
Most the time I run 5-10 mph over the limit and my speedo is right on.
If your using cruise and your radar detector speaks you better get on the brake. You have to learn how to read your detector.
I don't use the cruise on hills because it kicks the tranny down to much. I tap it out and use my foot to maintane speed as best I can.
Yep, I like and use cruise a lot.

I use mine a lot. I think it's a great safety aid. Set it at the speed you need to maintain and concentrate on the road ahead. Old 'heads up or heads down' discussion. New vehicles (like the Ranger) make it so easy to engage/disengage that it works well even in local roads. I'd go so far as to say it's a deal breaker on a purchase if it doesn't have it for me.

Enough with the OLD PEOPLE! I'm 73 and you best stay the hell out of my way. I set the cruise control at 5 over and try to stay there. In Georgia, when you find someone poking in the left lane and won't get over, they are going to have Florida plates 75% of the time. Many of the rest are talking on cell phones.
I always get out of the way for faster drivers.

I used it for long highway trips, but it's been disconnected for a few months now from the recall. Ford dealerships out here didn't have the part (they just disconnected it and put electrical tape around the connections) and seems they didn't know when any where coming in. Something about being out of stock completely.
I know the people that got the recall done in the summer were fine, but it seems that after September the shortages started. I got mine done in October.

I use it when I'm traveling on the interstate to and from college. When I'm on 840, which is about an hour of the drive I use it. It also saves some gas. But when on a busier road, like I-65 or I-40, it's useless because it's hilly and you have truck drivers and slow folks so it makes it very difficult to turn it on and leave it on for any amount of time. But yeah I do use it and just cruise away...
