How much for a camper shell?

How much is a fiberglass camper shell worth you think. I can pick one up for my flareside used. They want $150 for it. Here is a picture. Sorry it is small, thats what they gave me.

I really dislike the caps for the flareside beds, with a passion. so ugly.

100-200 for a nice price range for a fiberglass cap.

but what you guys arent figuring into the equation is that dpeneding on how much he pays, if it isnt the same color as his truck he will have to get it painted to match which is easily another couple hundred bucks for a qaulity paint job.

For my are hard cover I paid $150 then another $250 for paint.

hell yeah, $150 is a great price.

A buddy of mine just bought a 2001 Ram with a fiberglass toper on it, and sold it for $500.

I sell fiberglass at my store, and that cap new would be about $975 installed plus tax. Most of my used caps go for about 400-600 dollars. I would say its a good deal, maaco should paint it if needed for less than 150 bucks.

Agreed. Great price. I don't like canopies on stepsides much either, but the price is a great deal even if it needs repainted.

If you want it, buy it. The price is right where it should be for a used shell. Mine cost 1100 new.

I was thinking about picking it to use towards the end of my school year so I can take stuff home from college. Then use it when I go on vacation. Was thinking about putting then like a raised floor in the bed made out of wood so I could put like a matress on top then the rest of my crap underneith. Then use it when I go camping. Use my tonneau the rest of the year.

Do it man. Got mine a few months ago and don't regret it. $150 is a great price. I was looking for months before I got mine (stepside also). They are hard to come by caps.

back in 2000 I paid close to $1000 for my A.R.E. (new), but it was for a normal size bed, not flareside.
