You want a sleeper ok easy just buy a $25,000 LS7 (505 hp, 470 ft/lbs) and shoe horn it. Since your truck is from an Import company get a either a RB26DETT (with proper tune can hit 600hp) or 2JZGET (Supra TT engine).
If you want to stick with Ford based products there's the Aluminator 4.6L 700hp crate engine, OR do a diesel swap.
Those are your sleeper options no one would ever expect.

any seriously out of all those engines the only one (two) i would want is the rb or the 2jz. and it will be the 2jz with a gt60+ on it. also the rb26 would just give me orgasms everytime i hit the gas and make every 240 driver in china town cry.
and also i would really consider droping an sr20. lived in japan and they were everywhere when i grew up. also i drove a sentra before i got my ranger. way better gas mileage and more horsepower!!!

dude!!! the only way to drift is after you get a double lift and are 6 inches in the sky with 33's. top heavy cars are way better to drift than lower cars. dont you know?!?!

The emblem on the B4000 and the B3000 are larger than on the B2500 and the B2300 because the B3000 and B4000 have "V6" below the model number. If i took it off, I'd have to buff off all of the adhesive left over from the taller emblem so it wouldn't leave a mark. All of the V6 Mazdas also have (at the very least) a "V6" badge on the tailgate.
The current generation of Rangers (from 93 up) never had any indication of what engine is under the hood but that doesn't stop me from telling the difference between a 4-cylinder or a 3.0 or a 4.0. The differences are obvious and it doesn't take a badge.
I don't know how I can tell, but I can tell what's what. Like all of those 3.0 liter 2WD Edge Rangers that are rolling around on 265/75R16 tires with their T-bars cranked...I know that's not a 4.0 or a 4x4 but it doesn't stop them from putting brush guards, skid plates and all this off road garbage they don't need.
To each their own, but if I took my B4000 and put a B2300 badge on it, first of all, I'd have an issue with the axle being there in the front and the transfer case hanging down. Hard to hide those... If we really wanted to make it convincing, you'd have to face the fact that the B2300 doesn't have 4 wheel drive and sits lower, on smaller wheels. For the money (and off-road ability) it would cost me drop the truck, steel up the wheels, shrink the tires, and change all of the badges, I could have bought a winch, toolbox, or even a nice sound system.
F--- a lot of that. I'm happy to let the world know my truck is what it is.
