I believe I saw 3 on mine, one for each bank & then 1 once the 2 banks merge together.

It is against the law for a Muffler installer to install used cats here in Good ole MN. My buddy that has a Muffler shop, got busted for that and installing no cats on a car made after 1976 (it had a 1971 oldsmobile rocket in it) In this state you need a Cat if the motor or the car is newer than '76. He got busted hardcore, and now won't do it for anybody but his buddies.

it just seems that napa is a rip off for certain items. i had two high flow cats installed on my old bronco for a local custom shop and they only charge $200 each install included.

muffler shops are a rip off period. I mean, you could run all new water lines in your house for what they charge for mufflers and pipes on a car.

in NY i think it has to work on any car 96 or newer. cause dads truck - a 95 e350 has one thats about 3ft long, with a hole in it, and my cousin bought a new one from napa cause their the only ones that carried them - and surprisingly, were the cheapest, for $700 for his F350.

The most I ever paid for a complete exhaust system from an custom exhaust shop is $400. That was for my Cadillac and he had to make a new Y-pipe, replace the Heatriser, new Cat (Plan on showing it someday so I had to put it back to stock), mew muffler and resonatler and all stainless piping. I added a water spout in th the garage at the house I am building and it cost me $500 bucks to run a few feet and through a wall. But that's here who knows elsewhere in the country. We got muffler shops coming out of ears here
