How long do you plan to keep your ranger?
#82
I plan on keeping my ranger until it dies, then it will become a yard ornament for some odd amount of years whilst I parade around in a chevy, then I will get the best idea of dropping a 5.4L into it and driving that until it dies, then I'll go get another V6 and drop that in, give it to my child and let them drive it untile it dies ....... ................. assuming I last that long of course

I have done enough work to my ranger now that I will just drive it until the wheels fall right off, and then I'll just get them back on and add some more bondo to it. Or maybe that feeling is that work is slowing down, and my student loan repayment has just started.... grrr... but I have learned how to fix a ton of the stuff on the truck, and its simple, so why not. I am a general contractor, and the truck is too small for what I do alot of the time, but than again it is only usually 17 gallons to fill it and I see 350 miles to a tank of gas, where my partner spends 2x's or more in gas than I do for his truck.
Its not a bad little truck, but I wish it could have 4 doors. I wish I was just rich and could have a new nissan titan :(. Ill settle for my sardine can that shakes down the road for now though.

for a while...my truck's an 05 with 26K miles (bought it 7/09 with 17k) and I owe 6K on it. My payments are so low at 200/mo that its not worth selling and getting a bigger truck with a bigger payment right now. Id like to pay it off, drive it 2-3yrs and sell it to buy a Sierra Denali. Ive had 3 Silverados (00, 03, 05) and an 07 toyota highlander, this truck was a huge step down for me but Im tired of 500+/mo payments and wanna be able to save some $.
