I recieved a My Ford magazine not too long ago and there is a section where people write about their unique vehicles like one guy had a 68 ShelbyCobra gt500 he had bought it brand new and in 2008 he bought a new GT500
but I remember one time a guy wrote about his genI ranger with original engine, tranny (auto) and all he had to replace was the typical plus power steering pump, switiched it to run RA134, replaced the alt... I believe it was a 3.0.... total miles he had on it at the time was over 600,000 the truck had been repainted but looked to be really solid
Ive prolly got the lowest miles at 26xxx lol for an 04 had it since 4 miles on the clock

i will have to go get the little note book out of my truck i can tell you when everything was replaced from the bulb in the head lights to oil changes to then the tranny when out the first time. the guy i bought the truck from worked for Penn dot and wrote everything down in a little book. that's what sold the truck to me because of the miles when i bought it 248k. but it was pretty cool and after i put the decals on it truck i took it up to his house to pick up my bed liner and hes like i see your already starting to change it and i told him in about 2 years i will bring it up again and show him how far it has really come and he will be super surprised then hes a really cool guy

My dad had a 89 with the 2.9. Traded it in a couple years ago with 370-390K on the clock (can't remember which). Lots of travel time on that puppy. Transmission and rear end were starting to go, though, so now he has the Tundra you see in my avatar (actually, it's technically my grandmas, as he really got it for her, but he drives it a lot [or more so then she does, lol!]).
Hopefully my truck can last that long with the original block and tranny. We will see this weekend.

Just bought 2009 Ford Ranger with 329K
I bid and won a 2009 Ford Ranger in COPART auction site that had 329K miles. I was hoping to get it below $1000 but I end up paying $2600 (got excited on bid 😆. I feel stupid now to have paid that much but when I drove the truck, it has no engine light on and the truck looks fairly clean. It was owned by O'Riley auto parts and I think they just let go because of the high miles. It seems like it will be okay to drive without any major problems for sometime ( not sure how long). I haven't driven in the highway speed but driving around the city feels normal and seems like won't give up on me right away. Some minor issues such as gear shift indicator seems to be stuck on the P, but that seems to be an easy fix. I hope I didn't screw up my $2600 for nothing. Any thoughts on the maintenance by O'Riley guys that they might have used it for hauling parts to autocares and body shops ?

My 92 2.3 has just over 700k miles and I'm certain it will make it to a Million. These miles are on the original motor under, runs great, no leaks or issues, regular maintenance, and yes I've put some money in it to keep it in good running condition. I believe any that a vehicle goes only as far as the upkeep done on it.
