Looks pretty much like the same accident that I got into or at least the same damage that I received. I was given ruffly the same estimate and thought it was outrageous. I had a $1000 deductible and thought, man insurance is such a scam. So I sourced all the parts online for way less and they were original ford parts. And it gave me a chance to upgrade a few things that I wanted to do anyway.. I got the clear corners that I wanted and fenders with edge flares, new bumper and valence that is color matched. etc. So the silver lining is that now you can just get on with the mods that you may have put off anyway

I carried a baseball bat around for a while, and then a guy side swiped me trying to go around me by using a "right turn only lane". He tried to get into my face, while I was sitting in my truck, so I grabbed the bat and told him to "back the f*ck away from my truck or else you won't be coherent when the cops show up."

Then on the accident report he told the cop "I went after him". I laughed heartily, I never left my truck until the cop showed up. The cop asked why I had a bat, and so I showed him my glove and ball and told him I have baseball every day LMAO. He believed me, but had to take the bat into HQ to hold it as possible evidence, because the guy said I went after him with it.

Funny thing was nothing ever came about the whole situation other than court to see who was at fault for the accident. Neither of us were cited, so we each had to take care of our own claim's. He was *****ing to the Court that he could't get my insurance to pay for his vehicle (we both had the same company). His car was really screwed up too, he couldn't open the drivers door too easily. My truck required a new fender and a buffing down the side haha. Just for spite, instead of trying to argue the court and possibley losing (for reasons I can't explain because someone would see the facts of life as being insulting), and I plead to a $20 muffler violation LOL, which, took any and all responsibility away from me for paying for the damages to his vehicle.

He thought he'd be a smart *** and try to pull some road course **** on me, then try to get me to pay for his vehicle, and he got stuck with the bill hahahaha.

To set the record straight, the ball glove and bat were not in the truck for the same reasons haha. The bat was always carried for situations like then, the glove was just in there because I was using it the day before with my family.

A few guys I worked with pulled over to see what happend, they didn't witness the accident, but were there when the guy came up to my door, they held him back and told him to go back to his car, and told me to chill out (I was more than pissed, but strong enough to know getting out of my car meant I'd be going to jail lmao), so I stayed put, but I did threaten him with the bat, I just didn't "go after him". The dude was black so to add to an assult charge it would have been a "hate crime" because he is a minority... GIVE ME A BREAK. Had he been white, Indian, Mexican etc I would have reacted the same way. The situation didn't swing my way at first. Because 5 minutes after the accident two of his friends in a different vehicle showed up before the guys I work with showed. At one point it was 3 black guys and just me, hell yes I was going to protect myself. Turned out though the other two guys were okay to talk to, until the cop showed, then they changed face 100% and tried to tell the cop they witnessed the whole thing and what not.... typical.

In Utah its legal to have a CCW license. I'll get one one day. I did the whole paint ball gun thing for a while in my old truck. Some dude I went to Highschool for a year with that I didn't like (he was a drop out so you can see where this thread will go) , decided to key my truck one night while I was working, though his ***** *** wouldn't own up to it. Everytime I'd see him he'd be with 2 or 3 friends and they would always try to start trouble with me and not him. One day I was driving down the road, saw him driving his car the other way with some friends in tow. They busted a U turn and caught me at the red light, I was expecting that much. Then one of his punk *** freinds got out the car and ran up to my truck trying to open the door to get me out LMAO. Light turned green and I took off, he tried running beside me, with traffic coming the other way I swerved hard left toward traffic and slammed into him tossing him into oncoming traffic, that was funny *** sight. Anyhow, I got cought at another light again, and he came running up again pissed off more now. He was yelling stuff like roll down the window and get out . I rolled down the window about 3 inches, grabbed my paintball gun and blasted a few shots at him at point blank range. Dude dropped like a brick in the middle of the road. I nailed him atleast once in the face from 6 inches away, the other two or 3 shots I wasn't sure about. But the looks on peoples faces priceless, I imagine they thought I shot the dude with a gun.

Last I knew though that kit I nailed with the paintball gun was in jail, and the dude that thought he was tuff behind his friends really never came back around.

Well, today the craziest thing happend. I decided to take my dirtbike for a put a couple blocks away to the train tracks, in the freezing cold. On my way back up to the main road waiting to cross i see the damn car that hit me come down and turn up the hill i'm heading to. I was with my buddy that had a quad and yelled "hey thats the car that hit me!" he didn't hear me and went the opposite way. I followed the guy up the hill for a bit and got his plate number. The guy had to know something was up cause he sped up and I just kept flying up like a foot away from his bumper. I'm gonna tell the cops and my insurance company on Monday that I found the guy that hit me. I thought about following him to wherever he was headed and confronting him, but I figured I would more than likely get my money if there wasn't a police report that this dude got his *** kicked. Plus my RM 250 doesn't have a kickstand, and she couldn't be thrown on the ground! haha! It's been about 12 days and I still don't have my ranger...i'm having a coniption fit.

We were right outside plus he drove around the side and back of Walmart.
Did Walmart have anything on camera?

I'm assuming you and maybe a few of the witnesses gave the cops a description of the vehicle. Now that you have the tags, let the police and insurance company take care of it. Even if the cops let it go, I would think the insurance company would follow up on it to get their money repaid.

Could you tell if they still had damage?

I wouldn't wait until Monday. Call the cops asap and let them know.

walmart said they couldn't see anything...bunch of idiots. The cops have a description of the vehicle. I tried calling the police station and a security guard answered and told me to call back monday. Called 911 and told them i would like to see an officer about a hit and run...since this happened in Pittsburgh and not my local town they told me to call the Pittsburgh office on Monday. My insurance agent isn't in the office untily monday, but she said if I find the car to let her know and they will take care of the rest. And the car definately still had damage. The front driver side was all smashed up. Looks like he had some bad luck cause the passenger side rear window was all smashed up and taped together. I'm 100% positive this is the vehicle.

let the police handle it now. you've done 90% of their work for them!
now if you go up to the lowlife's house and start confronting him.. you not he will be breaking the law.

Let the police and insurance company handle it. The final nail in his coffin would be if you could get some pics of his car since you know where he lives. Get a buddy to do it, drive by the house and take some pics of the car, but also the house. That way, if the dude comes out, you can say that you are an appraiser taking pictures of the houses in the neighborhood for a reference. Its worked for me before when I was out looking to do some repos!

Finally got my truck back today! Got it back during a blizzard but that's Ok, i missed her. Got new bumper, valence, fog lights, headlight, corner light, fender, raidator support, body work on the door, four wheel alignment, new camber brackets on the suspension and they reconditioned my front wheel. I missed this thing...
