Hmm so he is 16 and had been drinking and so had his girl. That looks for a promising future. We all wish the cop had come over to check on you. I don't care if you know your limit, you are 16 and its illegal for you to drink and even more so for you to drive after drinking. Like your license I hope, get caught and you lose it till you are legal to drink.

And the truck is gay b/c you drove it threw a mudhole and got the alternator wet and fried it. Not seeing how that is the trucks fault.

But yes, get a new alternator and probably belt and get your battery recharged and you should be fine.

Also, as to walking to work. For a DWI you ususally lose your license between 3-6 months but even before your hearing you can send in the paperwork to get a "to work license" reinstated.

All in all, your first DWI costs between 3-6 thousand.

If anyone is interested, your 4th DWI costs between 100 and 150 thousand dollars

I pm'd the **** to delete the drunk driving part, cause it'd be an issue. He idnt care. I never drunk drive, the fines are SOO Terrible it's not worth it, at all.
It depends on the state and local municipalities. In MN it is not illegal to Ride a bicycle Drunk, only a motorized vehicle, so a moped or a little rascal could get you a DUI. Now that isn't to say their isn't a local ordinance in your town that bans bicycles, or public drunkeness but as far as the state's Concerned have at it. Of course as soon as you cause a nuisance then they'll bust you for that. It's also illegal to mow your lawn with a beer even if it's a push mower, don't ask me why.

Some states are harsher than others, one state will charge the owner of the car for a DUI if he is riding shotgun and the driver happens to be drunk. A country singer got busted for that a few years back. I like this law cause it forces you to make sure your sober cab actually is responsble. I got stuck at a party once because my sober cab decided to drink. I had a few too many and no way to get home, so I slept in the grass next to my truck til the morning. That is the last time I trusted a sober cab.

I'm not sure where people get this possesive idea from. Nobody here owns this thread. It doesn't belong to anyone. There are no regulations that state the thread starter decides what can and can not be discussed. This is an open forum, anyone can read and participate in it. If you bring something up, especially something controversial, expect it to be discussed. If you don't want people to know about it and don't want people to talk about it, DON'T TELL THEM ABOUT IT!

Every response in this thread has been directly related to things he said or complained about. It hasn't been taken out of context and it hasn't been taken off topic. If you don't like what people think, that is simply too bad. In real life, not everyone is going to agree with everything you say. Get over it.

Very well said, and may I emphasize one particular point;

Basically, that means no matter what you think, you're still a complete ****ing moron for driving that night. You're an even bigger dick head for taking a lady with you and risking her future, freedom, and criminal record. **** you for being so irresponsible, and **** you up the *** for being so child-like in your responses. You obviously have no concept of reality. The consequences of your actions will reciprocate one day soon. You brought it up. You're lucky you're not thinking this whole topic over in jail, wondering how you're going to come up with $1000 bail. You're VERY lucky!

Tim, you act like i was **** drunk. I can drive my truck freakin fine to a certain amount of beers, and i didnt go over the limit. Shes driven with me alot, she knows i can drive. I still like ur bold letting, like what im reading is important? I dont care if you think im a dick, the girl she was gonna ride home an hour earlier was way more drunk and shes gotten in wrecks before. So no i wasnt being a dick. I'm, sorry if this is a big deal to you, but to me and i bet half of the people on this forum, its no big deal. I wouldnt have been driving if i was smashed and if i knew id put others or myself at risk. I drive just as good as sober, if not maybe a tad bit better cause im chilled and relaxed. I dont know if ur expecting for ur little lectures to mean **** to me, honestly it doesnt mean anything.

Oh and FireRanger, i dont like what you think, but reading all ur big posts trying to make me feel bad is kinda fun to read. I know this is gonna get locked soon but o well.

He didnt check on me, i walked up to his car and told him how my truck died right behind him, i talked to him about when i went muddin and stuff and we had some little jibber jabber. He couldnt tell i was drunk because i wasnt. Promising future? I dont even know who the hell you are. Maybe it was different when ur haggard *** was in highschool but its not unusual to be drinking at 16. Actually the group of kids i hang out with are mostly the smarter kids at school. Yeah dude i just drank some beer so im gonna be a failure in life, im such a bad kid.

I forgot to say i do lines when im sittin at red lights. Sometimes i even shoot up heroin when i cant find somethin to do. Ill also take some pics of the meth lab in the back of my truck. Oh yeah and when i do all this i always pack my truck to put people's lives at risk.

Don't give someone that idea. A cop WILL ASSUME you drove if you have keys in your possession. Who says you didnt drive, then go to sleep? The laws CAN be extremely tough on that ****.

I just got done with alcohol classes. For minor consuming. Gay since my age is legal almost everywhere..but america.

Hmm 16 and don't care that you were drinking and driving and had your gf in the truck. That is going to make you bolder later in life to think that you can drink more and more and then one day you are going to kill someone or yourself. Its that I don't care attitude that is going to **** you. It doesn't matter how many you had, you are 16. Who cares how many you had. If you lose your license one day until your atleast 21, don't come *****ing here.

Haggard ***, I am 24, graduated high school 6 years ago, I am so old. The kids that drunk and drive were dumbasses then and still are. Things haven't changed since I was in high school oh so long ago.

I only have an i dont care attitude on some of yalls opinions. I'm not gonna keep drinkin more and more and drive trashed. I wasnt even drunk, i dont let myself drive home drunk. Ive never had a case where ive been drunk and cant drive myself home cause i know i shouldnt when my car is there. If i dont have to drive home, i really dont care how much i drink. And in these cases where i drink some and then drive myself home or whoever needs a ride that night, I'm probably more cautious then i am sober alot. Its always short amounts of driving too, all my friends live within 10 minutes of me because of bein zoned to the same highschool. I dont go on any big roads. The only reason i posted that in the first post is cause i thought it was funny how i happened to die right behind a copcar. I dont even really wana talk about it. I thought it was funny cause she was freakin out and wonderin what i was doing cause she was the one that was real drunk and needed a ride home. Eh i ended up gettin her home once my mom and stepdad came. He cranked up my truck and barely made it home with the engine tryin to shut off on him. Dang that was alot of typing.

Not to bash or anything, but you should REALLY take a hard look at driving after you have been drinking, since you are 16. I'm not saying you can't drive fine, and you had too much, BUT I am saying that if you somehow get pulled over for speeding, illegal movements, etc... or even break down on the road again, and the cop somehow smells or suspects you have been drinking, you WILL lose your license for a long time.

So it's all a matter of wether or not it is worth it to have a beer or two with your friends, and then get in your truck. Because the police will not care how sober you are, since you are 5 years under the legal drinking age, you will lose you license for a long time. So just think about that.
