Not that it matters because people are shallow and only care about themsleves, and get mad when the market works its problems out, but one major thing happening is that refineries are scrambling to cope with new Government B.S. political "Green" standards, and this will cause supply to dwindle as companies have to abide by the mandates, pushing equipment to extremes. add to that the increased U.S. demand, yes we haven't learned our lesson, and already we are at peak summer driving demand, and it is only april. Now when this happens, price goes up and Yes so does profits. Prices go up to control the market, if we have low supply and $1.00 gas we will have Gas shortages, and gas rationing. Messing with the market leads to dangerous effects. High gas prices encourage production which increases supply and encourages competition which lowers the price. its a whole circle of life thing. Get used to it. It is a business, maybe someday Unicef will get into the Oil business, but until then you have to deal with markets. Yeah. It was 2.50 at the beginning of the week. Jumped to 2.74 on Wednesday. Today it's 2.92. Haha... 40 cents in 4 days. Wee! Oh well... I'm gonna keep driving my truck.
