Front License Plate in the way....

I went to the junkyard yesterday and got some tow hooks off a 99 Ranger, $15 for the both of them! Although with my waag bar and the license plate, there isn't much room to mount them. I am gonna have to take the bumper off to drill the holes but license plate is still in the way. If I keep the plate there its porbably going to snap the plastic license plate cover if i ever had to pull/be pulled out. Where should i move it, or does anyone have an idea? I needs to be visiable in RI. Here is a pic

It's Illegal in Ohio, and how many people do I see with no front plates? Almost everyone.

I am with Zach, I would get some kind of mounting system setup so you can remove it when you need access to the hooks.

Why would you get a ticket in another state for not having two plates when your state does not require it. That would be kinda retarded.

do what i did and take off the holder, then just screw it into the lip of your bumper and fold it up really small...

its in the way because the waag bar supports, i say trim the black plastic on the tag holder enough to where it will fit thru.

Remove the plate holder and screw (or nut and bolt) it tight.

Just my two pennies.

I drove around for 5 years here in MN without a front plate on my Cadillac. I finally got a ticket for it, But I was at a place where Illegal street racing went on. (I wasn't Racing, I was picking up my Duma$$ friend who wrecked his car) The cop walked up to me and said I normally wouldn't ticket you, but I have orders to ticket everyone here for everything.

Andrew- good luck tryin to drill through, make sure you have a titanium bit and spray it often with wd40 to keep it cool.

Jeff- you might as well not have a front plate cause with it being that obstruced, any cop who will write you one for not having it will write you one for that as well.

I drilled mine off.. Cops stare at my winch.. I have never
been cited for the plate.. I'll probably just get one next time I'm pulled
over for speeding or something though.

I do keep the extra plate in the cab.. Was thinking about bolting it on the edge of the bumper.. but its too crappy out now to worry about it..

It was kinda funny last july I rearended this idiot who came to sudden stop
in the middle of the interstate ramp for an ambulance 4 lanes over...

the winch totally OWNED the back of the grand prix and I didnt hit it that hard

The cop just looked at it and snickered didnt mention anything about a plate.

The guy was just staring back and forth between the winch and his bumper/truck like wtf is your damage.
I had a paint mark on one of the winch rollers lol.. 30secs and my fingernail
had that off....
