I haven't really posted in a while, so I decided to share a little story.

So today, i went into my school's bookstore to look at some magazines and to see if i can extend my work hours. I ALWAYS go to the automotive magazine section first. Anyways, picked up a Motortrend (i'm pretty sure) and saw something on the bottom "Towing Trucks"... so i flipped to the back to glance over the article. Anyways, it was a comparison between the disel trucks of each company: Ford, Chevy, Dodge. These are the big trucks... i.e. F350. So 3rd was Dodge, which was quite surprising IMO. And first? yup! Ford F350... Pretty cool :D Also, at the end of the article, there was this section showing the new trucks.. the "future" trucks.. and turns out.. Dodge is going to have a Ram with a "nearly invisible" "powerful" winch.. that sounds pretty cool.. ok, just a little story, kinda pointless.. but yay for Ford!

yup motortrend does that every year and Ford one a couple years ago too, cause bascaiully they said.. when you buy a truck like that, it's ok that some of the creature comforts aren't there... because it was made to HAUL a load, not make you feel all warm and cushy.

I remember motortrend doing the same thing with the Lightning, SS Silverrado and the RT/10. Ford won in that too cause the RT/10 cost so damn much.

But the SS is AWD and comes in different cab configurations, couldn't do that on the Dodge or Ford (although Dodge is adding other cab configurations to the R/T). GM meant to grab the market the the other trucks neglected.

You're right, different than regular cab is what I mean. Some people avoid the lightning because it is a regular cab.
