I'm kinda curious what the blinker reflector would look like blacked out. The bulb itself produces plenty of light. It just looks odd to see the big blinker reflector on a black background.
Since you haven't sealed it, maybe you could cover it with black tape and test it out

That works for getting your rotational alignment correct. and for him he cut out the oval in the reflector so he had to set the projector somewhat straight.

how do ya aim em if you just lock it into place with the projector nut on the back just kinda of spin it until its at the right level?

Yeah the line is supposed to be straight across You rotate them till that is correct then you seal it up with some silicone so it will stay. If I were to cut the reflector to recess the bowl further into the housing I would have used screws to hold it in there and that would have made them harder to adjust the rotational. Note to self and others Do NOT Cover the headlight lens with anything ie. Shirt, I did it and this happened

I put the shirt over the light while aiming the other light and the shirt cause excess heat buildup in the Housing and the Headlight Lens Melted
