It's not on my Ranger...it's on my Escort with a 2.0...I had the head milled for the second time (a bad torque wrench caused another head gasket malfunction) The machinist recomended a soft copper shim. The shim and gasket are both Fel-Pro...anyone ever installed one? Wondering what kind of prep to the shim or block is needed, if any. The machinist said they used to spray them with aluminum paint and some other way I can't remember....Need a little advice....
