EGR Valve Location on 2005 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0L

Might not have one on 2005 3.0l
Look on the exhaust manifolds for a metal pipe coming out and up towards intake, if you don't find that then no EGR valve, the pipe runs to the EGR Valve if you do find it
Not all years/engines have EGR Valves, EGR is used to lower cylinder temperature under load to prevent a spike in NOX, a toxic gas, if engine didn't have that issue then no EGR needed
And this can be a by STATE emissions requirement, some states, like Calif ,required EGR system regardless in most years, so where vehicle was sold when NEW matters
So some 2005 3.0l Rangers may have had EGR valves, depending on where they were from originally
