Can anyone lead me to find where the EGR Valve is located on my 05 Ford Ranger 3.0L? I spent hours looking for it. Please Help.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

Might not have one on 2005 3.0l
Look on the exhaust manifolds for a metal pipe coming out and up towards intake, if you don't find that then no EGR valve, the pipe runs to the EGR Valve if you do find it

Not all years/engines have EGR Valves, EGR is used to lower cylinder temperature under load to prevent a spike in NOX, a toxic gas, if engine didn't have that issue then no EGR needed
And this can be a by STATE emissions requirement, some states, like Calif ,required EGR system regardless in most years, so where vehicle was sold when NEW matters

So some 2005 3.0l Rangers may have had EGR valves, depending on where they were from originally

What about the DPFE Sensor? I may have a bad one, there is no EGR Valve on my engine I checked just while ago.

you don't have one, the DPFE is part of the EGR system

+1 ^^

EGR valve
DPFE sensor
EGR Solenoid
These are the 3 parts used only for EGR system

Computers can make mistakes now and then, and set a code for a system you don't have, its very rare but can happen
Just clear the code and see if it returns
