Has Ford ever produced a short bed regular cab with power windows and locks, 4 wheel drive and a 4.0 V6?

In short, YES.

In long, power was an option on all models above XL at least since the '98 model year. That's getting into the nitty gritty on the power thing, but I imagine it may have been chosen. 4.0 reg cab 4x4 was axed after the '08 model year I believe. Apparently manual trans is harder to find than an auto, but finding a 4.0 reg cab shorty 4x4, I wouldn't care the trans 'cause it is that rare of a truck. Most were 3.0. I still want to build a wheeler out of a long bed reg cab 4.0 4x4.

Are you looking to buy one? Or just curious?

There is a write up on putting in OEM parts in the similar years Ranger but the kicker is without the OEM harness, just wiring things up like a set of lights.

It’s here somewhere look it up and see if you ant to do that.

I have the parts just no time at the moment to do it.

I found the How-To:

https://www.ranger-forums.com/interi...-parts-118206/

I copied the How-To just in case it goes missing.

Luck and post results.

FYI an extended cab dash harness will work in a regular cab vehicle.

I took the engine bay harness and dash harness from an extended cab to add oem locks/power windows/cruise to my reg cab. No issues.
