Did ford change the size of the tank in the 2.3? In my 04' I've been all the way to E and it only fills up to 15-15.5 gallons depending on that gas station's calibration for that pump I suppose. I'm in Vegas and when I fill up and go to my bros house in OC, CA i'm now on E again and that is aprox 315-330 all highway driving.

wow, i wasnt even gettin those numbers in stock form, with stock tires on my 2.3L. Im lucky to hit 200miles to a tank.

edit, i just did some research on my truck. It seems that when it came out, it was rated 22/27mpg, city/highway. With a 17 gal. tank. With doing an average of city and highway, i should get at least 300+ mile tank. Man theres gotta be something wrong with my truck. Im lucky to get into the 200s.

Anyone know where i can find the difference in tires sizes so i can calculate the mileage im actually getting since my speedo is off?

Was it a Lima or Duratec. I had a lima 2.3 in a mustang once and milage wasn't so great. With the Duratec the performance and mileage is night and day difference.

I am getting 21 MPG. I filled it up last weekend all the way up, as soon as the low fuel lite came on I got gas. Just so I know for in the future how far I have till its REALLY empty. The light came on with 4 gollons left in the tank, which has a 17 gallon tank, mine is a regular cab, and an automatic, and a 3 L. so it a safe bet I an go about 325 miles on a tank.

man... i get about 180-195, and "have" to fill up. Usually around 1/8-1/4 tank. on average, i pump 13.5 gallons. I know from working at the dealership, not to drive on E or close to it frequently. Fuel is the only thing to keep the pump cool.
