did you ever notice...

that when your truck is in harmony with the world, you also are in harmony and when your truck is broken, you too, feel out of sync?

I did notice that. It feels good to get your truck running the way you want. When I was working on it this weekend, it was almost a zen state of mind. It's just you and the truck for that little bit of time, everything else goes by the wayside.

My truck is surprisingly cooperating with me so far with my lift.... though I only have the rear done.... I'm happy for now.

Yeah my truck is shot at the moment and I've been fixing up my sports car to act as sort of a segregant so I don't get all depressed. I totally understand.

I'm depressed right now because my truck is motor and tranny-less sitting in my garage looking so beautiful, but not able to go anywhere. Sometimes I feel like if I could just free my truck again into the world to smell the blooming daffodils and suck in the fresh 70 degree March air, it would satisfy my deepest inner desires and again reach an equilibrium with me and our environment.

However, since I'm disciplining my truck by leaving it in the garage waiting on its 302 to be finished, I'm anxious to see the look on it's headlights when I fire it up the first time. I anticipate a new sense of commitment and devotion to the truck when that happens! I will also reap the numerous benefits of accomplishing a project like a motor swap successfully, without losing any limbs or blowing anything up.

Okay...enough deep crap for one day..........

x2. When I put my 200a alternator in, I messed something up and it wouldnt charge my battery, so I couldnt get it to work for 2 weeks- I was frustrated like no other. But I got it to work by just tweaking the wires a bit... but man it pissed me off because I work 6 days out of the week, so i had to bum rides, which I absolutely HATE to do.

I completely know what you mean. I feel like part of me is missing when my truck is in the shop and as I have to walk away from it, the song 'Take good care of my baby' plays in my head over and over again.
