get a plate made up of 1/4 inch high tenseil steel. bolt it on in at least 4 places on the inside. then grove out the crack and weld it up and grind it flat , good weld , stick perfered 8018 or 9018, then put a plate on the outside and bolt them together and weld the outer one.

 

I got it fixed a couple weeks ago. he welded the crack up and the welded in a plate on the inside. I will keep my eye on it and if i see it cracking there again i will build plates to go on the outside and bolt them on.




also why i had the bed off i removed the spare tire holder and added new shackle mounts
