FINALLY!

Got the driver's side front bearing on today. The hum is gone, and it's amazing. Even though I had no play in the wheel and it wasn't pulling or anything, and despite the fact that the sound went away when putting load on that side, it was the front drivers bearing.

But my abs light is still on and now I have no idea why. I replaced both front abs sensors because they are built into the bearing assembly. A code reader wont tell me anything, do I have to take it to a shop or is there a free-er way to figure out whats causing the abs failure?

 

I have an 03 EDGE and have a whining noise in the front end.

Stealership say the tires are OK, the front end is OK and nothing could be found.
Well I still have it after a year and it hasn’t gotten any louder but man it sucks on long trips.

I will install the SL Lift Kit/new tire/rims soon, I hope (Jacob where are you), and will see if it goes away.

I thought it was a wheel bearing or diff outer bearing but again the big guys said no.
