Bigfoot Ranger?

I saw a Bigfoot (like the monster truck) Ranger the other day and got curious, was this some special one off truck? Or, was this a kit with graphics and a roll bar people put on themselves? I think I've only ever seen one. I understand because the package is on the older Rangers they wouldn't be common. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about them?

It was a factory custom truck made in 1987 and 1994 (not sure if it left the factory this way or went to a customizer before the dealer, my guess is the latter). The 1987 bigfoot cruiser ranger featured a 4x4 with alloy wheels, 2.9, auto, electric roll down rear window, roll bar and lights (not KC's) and a stripe kit. I believe it came with a heavier duty rear bumper too. I might be missing something but I think that is it.

My Neighbor had one growing up and it was still in nice shape in 1999. I didn't have the money to buy it from him but I told him to tell me before he sold it. I haven't seen it since 99 and I have no idea what he did with it.

I also saw one in a junkyar this year and took some pics. I sure hope it wasn't the same truck as it must have had a rough past 9 years if it is.

I really want one, but I have settled with the fact if I want one it will probabaly be a clone as this is the second one I have seen in real life and I only seen one for sale on the internet. The repop the graphics so it is doable, but the rear window will be the tricky part.

John, i was 18 when the Bigfoot cruiser ranger was offered by ford. it came factory with a 2.9L v6 engine, 4x4, rear drop down window, bigfoot graphics, chrome roll bar with 5 S.E.V. Marchall lights. tires were 215/65 14's and side running boards came factory as well. the cab was a supercab. there was no other choices for this truck. no dealer add ons, no color changes, no engine options. what you see in the showroom, is what you got.

215/65/14 Not much of a "BigFoot" Tire.
