Earning a living for over 25 years working on cars and have used many brands: Snap-On, Mac, Matco, Cornwell, SK, Waterloo, Napa, etc and I actually prefer Craftsman...believe it or not.

Ha those drills are GAY. At work when we see trades people with those things we ask them how they like their Hair Dryers/Baby drills.

^^^ they are great for building decks and bird houses tho....

Below is a real drill. Professional Contractor Grade.

^^^ the only power tool line i'll use, toughest tools out there. I have used my Ridgid to drill/screw through grade beams, iron, steel... anything Almost everyday! going strong for 3yrs. Lifetime warranty too. And enough torque to break your wrist.

snap on, matco, mac, and professional grade craftsman. the regular craftsman ratchets suck, ive broken every size ratchet they make and all i work on are freakin motorcycles, dirt bikes and quads. sanp on is expensive but they are definetly worth theur weight in gold, matco is a little cheaper and they are really good with thier warranties so you really cant go wrong

I have sets of Snap-On, Matco and Mac wrenches that will "round off" slip and flex on really stubborn fittings, then I try the craftsman wrench and it breaks the nut loose with no drama involved. And that's just one example.

Not hating on other tool brands, just saying that craftsman has worked great for me.

i work as a diesel marine mechanic, and all my co-workers most of the young ones use snap on, its a hot rod mechanic thing, i myself have a few of snap on's specialty tools, but mainly stick to craftsman and husky, the yachts i work on have bottomless bilges, and i would rather drop my 12 dollar huskey 9/16 then a 70 dollar snap on, imo but one thing good about snap on is thier pay as you go policy, i bought a special socket for injectors, costing a near 150 bux, but paid what i could a week and soon enough it was paid off. its all on your budget

ps.... i was breaking loose a coupling the other week ( it connects the flywheel to the gearbox) and snaped a snap on 1/2 drive stubby extension, woot woot, i mean having a 3/4 breaker bar could of helped, but it was all brute strenth

Ha ha. to each their own. I dont do contractor work at all and i really just like it for around the home and my own auto related stuff.

I do understand though. It would be like me making fun of someone that buys a spray gun from Home Depot instead of a *****in Satajet 3000 1.2 RP. Or like me not understanding why people think its weird to have 6 different spray guns that cost $600 a piece.
