Bent tow loop upward

Any remedies to this or is it going to be me and my hammer tomorow?

haha

when mine bent, it was me, and my hammer.

i wrapped my hammer in an old undershirt, to keep from chipping the coating.

yeah.

looks good enough. a little inward looking, but my parents don't examine tow loops or care! haha.

it's my truck.

they know it's been through alot.

yeah.

those little loops don't hold up as well as you'd think they do.

IF the airbag goes off from that its defective.. imo.

Id take some old jeans or something and cushion it then break out the 2-3#
mini sledge on it.

when i bought my truck, my passenger hook was bent down. When i went to do the body lift, and took the bumper off, it wasn't the hook that was bent, it was the cross frame. All i did was take the hook off, find a thick pry bar, and keep prying and working it. looks fine now

i bent my cross member then just took the hooks off. this way it prevents me from using that weak piece.

i bent my cross-member so that the hook was 2 inches out and 1-1/2 inches up.
