Yea it was brutal. LOL These Rangers hold up really well in crashes from what I have seen on here.

Even though the Mazda was coming at him, it still has give (evidenced by the photo of the mangled RX-7) where a brick wall would not.
It's more like hitting a parked Mazda RX-7 at 100 mph instead of a brick wall.
Plus, as we can tell, in this case it's much better to be in the Ranger because of the weight. The forces of deceleration are going to be less in the Ranger because the RX7 only has a curb weight of about 2300-2500 lbs, compared to Ben's Ranger, which probably comes in around 3800 with his toys on it.
So... the total energy is the same as the 100 mph/brick wall example, except that those forces are distributed amongst two cars, instead of just one in the brick wall example (assuming the wall sustains no damage and doesn't crumble). So, if both cars are exactly the same mass, the damage to Ben's truck would be half of the damage of hitting a wall at 100 mph. In this case, the vehicles aren't anywhere near the same, so Ben took quite a bit less than half of the impact force.
Not that it feels that way to him, I'm sure
