Well I know I lurk more then type here but here is my story:

I just love how bad luck always seems to poke its ugly head head out at bad times.

Well anyways I drive anywhere from 40-100 miles a day for work which sucks but then again it doesn't. Tonight on the way home I'm halfway through the town right before the one I live in and WHAM I get in a wreck.

Ok I was in the left lane which was totally clear doing the speed limit which is 45mph since this is a highway and was comming up on a red light with no one between it and me. I let off the gas with plenty of time to stop if it don't change. So the light turns green and I start picking up speed again. Well halfway into the intersection this idiot in the right lane going 5-10mph decides to turn into my lane 2 feet in front of me. Yes I was still doing 45mph and caught the left rear of his car with the right front corner of my 01 ranger.

Needless to say he called his mom and she showed up before the cops got there and proceeded to yell at me trying to make me believe it was my fault. I guess it didn't sink in when 3 witness's verified what happened on top of saying he switched l;anes in the intersection let alone didn't use his blinker.

Now this is the funny part as we are talking to the cop his "friends" that where in the car with him look at the cop and tell him well he looked when the light turned red but didn't see anyone so when it turned green he just turned . Well then they just bury him as the cop is trying to keep a straight face and asks them if they are really his friends.

Well atleast I'm fine still in shock from it. Only thing that is kind of bugging me is my right knee that hit my dash. Well I figure since I'm still in shock I will wait till the mourning to go in so I will be able to know if there is anything else wrong with me.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about that man. Kids these days... Anyways, hope your knee gets better and that there is nothing wrong with the rest of you! Hopefully his insurance will get your truck fixed up good as new!

 

Yah man that really sucks specially since you just got the truck. But im sure his insurance will cover it and it will be back to new. Some people are just retarted and dont even pay attention to driving. Hope your knee is better!

As far as I can tell from looking at it closer this mourning it will need the following replaced from being cracked or bent: bumper, whole grill and housing, turn signal, headlight, fog light, radiator core support, and it looks like the frame mount where the bumper connects bent which still has me puzzled why my bags didn't blow . Oh the knee is fine but now my shoulders hurt lol.

 

The airbag sensors are highly directional and are looking for a more-or-less straight on front hit. My guess is that you truck was knocked off on a diagonal after hitting him. Believe me, you don't want the airbags to blow unless you REALLY need them. They can cause pain and injury and are very expensive to replace.

Well on the positive side now I have an excuse to get my new tube front bumper made, mode my headlights and signals and put my billet grill in it .
