Anyone run Mobil1 Ext. protection?

I put it in my truck last time i went to walmart, said good for 15k miles. its been little over 10k and wondered if i should go on and do it to 15k or have it changed now. They put the default fram filter on, should i get a longer life filter or will it handle filtering for 10-15k miles.
typical driving 25 miles 1 way everyday no stop and go traffic til after work and its a good 8 minute drive before i get to the interstate. i do no towing, will this summer in august tho.

mobil one recommends you run their filter.

i run the extended life 15k mile stuff with their filter. i think if i was u i would change it, you need to run the mobil 1 filter with the mobil 1 extended life oil. it should be a M1-210 i think. it will say for extended mobil 1 oil.

i change my oil between 10k and 15k

ive been using mobil 1 since i got 3,000 miles on my truck, i now have 64k.

i bought my truck at 37k and started to put the 5k mobil one oil in, then moved up to 15k. im putting more and more miles on my truck and it got expensive. next time i have my oil changed ill get the different filter.

you still have to change the filter I'm sure. I wouldn't go any longer than 5000 miles on a filter.

I would believe it would be alright. They wouldnt put 15k on the box if it couldnt last 15k. Next time I will try the 15k Mobil 1 instead of this 5k Mobil 1 stuff.

Question to all: Is it bad that im running a Fram filter with my Mobil 1 5k?

I run Mobil 1 Ext Performance in the Grand Marquis with a Mobil 1 filter. The car doesn't get driven 15k miles a year any more but I plan on changing it out when it hits 1 year or a little later. B4 the ext performance, I was running the normal M1 5w30 w/ a M1 filter and changed it out every 7 months.

I personally am not a Fram fan and only run Amsoil/Mobil 1 filters (Amsoil filter/Amsoil 5w30 in the Ranger...Mobil 1 Ext Performance/Mobil 1 filter in the Grand Marquis). I wouldn't run 15k miles unless I had a M1 filter in there.

I believe he is talking about the extended performance mobil 1 (That's the only one they have guaranteed to last 15k miles) and that is a synthetic.

its a full synthetic.
but next time i go if its not raining ill do it myself, if it is ill just buy a filter and give it to them
if it cost me 40 bucks to do it every 15k miles compared to 20 every 3-5k im making good on savings.

Thats some pretty interesting info, I still use the tough guard frams, but it said they were the best of the frams, but still kinda scary.
