I am wanting to get a front receiver hitch, and the model by Hidden Hitch that I want is only made for 01+. I figured the frames were identical between the two years, so I am confused as to why it won't work. If anyone with a 2001 or newer Ranger could tell me several things I would appreciate it greatly.

1) How wide are the two frame rails set apart? Measure from 6" back and from the inside of the rails.

2) Are the frames boxed in up front, or are they C-Channel frames like the old Rangers? Mine is boxed in, so I assume yours is, too.

Thanks for the help.

26.5" between the rails right at the front bumper support.. I have some rubber flaps that stop me from measuring 6" back. The rails are boxed, not C channel.

Problem with the post thingy....

Awesome, thanks Wowak.

I have a hard time remembering where I post, so sometimes it takes me a day or two for me to recall. But I appreciate the measurements.
