Airbag Switch in Explorer Console

I've searched and searched, but can't find this. What did you guys do with the airbag cutoff switch when you installed the explorer center console? Is it just hanging behind the console or did you mount it somewhere?

I'm going to install my console and seats this weekend, but I'm stumped as to what I'm gonna do with the airbag switch. I'd like to have easy access to it if possible.

I just tucked mine up under the dash and left it off. It will be fine up there.

I'm going to try to leave it since I will need to use it since I have a regular cab. I'm going to work on it this weekend if it works I'll let you know.

I guess I could just leave it tucked behind the console. Only thing is my wife is expecting and if I need to take the baby somewhere in my truck I'm gonna need to be able to disable the airbag. I suppose it's not that big a deal to pull the cupholders off to do that.

One thing i've seen done is remove the power point aka the cig lighter from the explorer console and mount the switch there. Not sure if you have to lengthen the wiring though.

I used some velcro to keep the module secure while it's tucked behind the Ex console. I don't like the idea of it dangling around loose. I've already had a bulb go out on me.

When I did mine I used zip ties to keep in place.

Did you have to lengthen the wiring, or was there enough already?
