can anyone tell me what an air bag light that blinks out code 46 on a 2001 xlt 2 wheel drive might be? Started out maybe twice a year and would go away after cycling deactivation switch a few times and only would happen when a lot of moisture in air and now stays on all the time.

 

seatbelt pretensioner. check the connectors under the seats. unplug them, clean them out and reconnect them. if it doesn't go away, you'll need to replace the receiving end(s) of the seat belts

 

I think I saw the same problem emerge a few months ago.

the little bulb that lights up the off when u use the key to disable passenger airbag is burnt out.

Utube has vids how to fix cost like 3 bucks order the bulb on ebay and replace it.

you will need to solder it in but its simple.

I used my soldering iron to warm the existing solder when it liquid pull one leg out the repeat other leg.

Use tip of iron to make a hole put new bulb in and warm till it takes hold then put drop to fully bond.
