Accident Mod :(
I'm still a little shaken up over this, but today I got in a little accident with a BMW. I was traveling in the northbound #3 lane doing aprroximatly 40 mph, and come up to a line of cars that stopped short, a Silver BMW infront of me, traveling in the same lane, stops short, giving me less time to stop, I hit the breaks, hear screaching coming from me, and hit the back of the beemer, who also tries to stop, and they had to swerve to avoid the car infront of them. Total damage to their car: some scatches on the rear bumper, and maybe a chip or two. Total damage to little Red: Front bumber crushed into the drivers side wheel (Made the truck undrivable) grille is cracked along the bottom, and it looked as if the drivers side bumper mount was bent in, making it a fix that I couldn't fix. Injuries to people: none to them (Thank God because she had a toddler in the back), and none to me, although I'm still shaken up over it, I'll be fine.
I think it's about a 900-1200 dollar fix, hopefully insurance will cover it.
On another note, I was able to pretty much stop all traffic movement from route 60 in Revere, up to where we were in Lynnfield, almost Peabody.

The insurance company hasn't even looked at it yet, i'm already lookin at new trucks, I saw a nice white Edge 4x4 with a hardcover for about the price of mine, I'm getting ideas already :)
In Massachusetts, no police report is needed unless the total damage to one car is over $1000, on further inspection of the bumper, it appears that I'll be needing a new bumper, the drivers side bumper mount got bent back going into the truck, and the grille is going to need to be replaced. I'm estimating the cost of a 99 XLT Chrome bumper at about $400, the work to put it on about $200, and the grille about $100 (total parts, maybe labor if I don't do it myself)
