3050 miles on my 05 ranger....wont start now
I hopped in my truck this morning to leave and when I turned the key to start it, it just makes a crappy crankin noise likes its struggling and won't start now. It fired off just barely a couple times but sputtered and died right away again. I got this thing brand new a month ago and it only has 3050 miles on it now. Any ideas what in the heck could be wrong with it already? I swear I have the worse luck with vehicles...my vehicle before this I kept having to get fixed every week but it had 155k miles and was a tempo...not a 1 month old 2005 ford Ranger with just over 3k miles on the engine

My guess would be the gas. Did you put in 87? Well let me tell you, my truck (2004) is hard to start if I use Mobil 87, other brands of 87 the truck will run but has no power. I always use 89, and it runs great with more power too!
Supposedly our trucks are designed for 87, guess not..?

It sounds like an electrical problem.
Check the terminals on the battery for tightness....
One time, at college, my truck wouldn't start.
A person tried to jumpstart it for me, but that didn't work.
After about an hour, I finally grabbed the neg. cable, and it just fell off.
I put it back on, tightened it, and BAM! It ran....
