I often refer to my 04 as the 2 seater sports car with a large trunk and offroad capability.

I came up from a 93 mazada 626 4 door sedan - think toyota camery... and a 1985 z28... and my first vehicle, a 1977 E350 cube van,..

my 04 drives like a dream... no pull, at all... accelerates great, stops on a dime..

I have noticed that it is a bit tougher to steer with the 32's, but even with 265's it still steered fine.

I have also had my truck since new, and have gone thruogh one major accident with it. Its a great truck even though when it was new I seriously contemplated turning it in under the lemon law... it always starts, never stalls unless the dealer fondles it, and rides like a dream sure it doesnt ride like a car, but then again, its not a car...

From what you have stated thus far, my advice is look at another ranger. unless you bought it already. If you havent bought it, look at something else cause there is obviously something wrong and its obvious the dealer is trying not to fix what is majorly wrong with it... maybe do a carfax on it.

The dealer finally called & said they "rotated the tires & everything's fine now"... I haven't had a chance to drive it again, but I don't think moving tires around would make a vehicle pull that hard.

I've about 95% talked myself out of this one.

By the time I put on a set of tires..that don't look like sports car tires ($600), replace the broken valance ($300??), replace the rear sliding window with a solid one ($250?), replace the battery & corroded cables ($125+), paint the inside of the bed...it's beat up & scratched badly ($??), do an actual alignment ($200+), do a proper brake job ($250?) & replace the rusted exhaust ($250?)... I'd rather keep my old truck & invest a little more into fixing whatever might go wrong in the future.

It would take me a month to put my truck back to stock, or at least to remove anything that I don't want to part with.

Well ill tell ya something... on my car, I screwed up the rotation and rotated my tires the wrong way, and that car, which drove perfectly straight pulled so hard to the right it was rediculous... It wasnt until i corrected the rotation, did the car finally not pull to one side.

However the problems you have stated, and the fact that the dealer hasnt been forthcoming, my adivece to you is steer clear. the 04's are nice trucks... but, this one seems to be a bit 'off'
