2003 FX4 Level II - Possible Purchase, Need Advice
I am going to go look at a 2003 Level II. See below. Please suggest things to look for. I already know I'm going to check out why the front bumper is color matched (possible accident?). Anything else that you may notice please post it here.

It seems like a ok price. maybe go down to 10,995. Make an offer, see what happens. Its good mileage for the year as well.
One thing thats a little odd though, is why are the alcoa's so damn shiny. I could never get mine to look like that. And like you said, the color matched bumper is odd as well.
Check axle code on the door jamb too. Ya never know.
And dont let anyone on here tell you its not a "real level II" because it's not a twin-stick.

There are several mistakes in the description such as chrome style steel wheels, split bench seat, chrome grill and there may be more like the tires that have already been noted.
If you are in the market for an automatic FX4 then you should take a look at it. I am sure there is room for negotiation on the price. The mileage is good but it is a good idea to inquire about any accidents and any evidence of it.

As far as the wheels go. They are fine. If you pay attention the pictures are overly bright. It's just the way the lighting is in the picture. On the front bumper my guess is they just changed it. It's not like thats uncommon. Think about how many people have put chrome bumpers on their truck. Like my old 04. Truck looks to be in good shape and with the low miles on it I bet the person who owned it just took really good care of it more then likely.

I don't know what vehicles are going for in your area but that seems kind of high. I didn't pay too much higher for my 05 FX4 F150 with less miles, leather, and all the options. Seems a little high for an almost 8 year old truck.

Thats not a real Level II as it doesn't have twin sticks. Seriously though I'd never own a Level II that wasn't a manual T-case it really makes it unique.

that truck where I live would be in the 12k range
also, my coworker just paid 21k for a 5.4 xlt extended cab (not even crew!) f150

Ranger_Envy, I just searched 100 miles radius from Newton, Kansas and was not able to find any Level II's in the price range you stated. There were several FX4 Off Roads, and even those they wanted 14,995 for an 05 with 66,000 miles. If you can find me one in your area that much cheaper, I would be willing to drive, I just don't think you can. I want one with low miles and taken care off.
Edit: I found one in Appleton City, Missouri. It was an 04, but had more miles and they wanted 12,995.

Finding a Level II for a low price is mostly a game of patience and luck I guess. I searched for over a year before I finally found the one I bought and I got a great deal on it too. So it really depends on how much you feel comfortable paying and how long you're willing to wait. Digging the blue of the truck OP posted though and 51k on that truck makes me think it's practically brand new.

Yea same here i search for over a year trying to find one, mine had 53k when i bought it for 14k. Probably some old guy had it and paid to get the bumper matched just because, it looks like it is well taken care of but you never know until you see it in person. I was looking at a 07 white lvl2 with 41k that looked clean until i drove 3 hours to look at it and my 05 put it to shame.
