2003 2.3 water on floor - not the cowlings - passenger side
2003 2.3l four banger. After a long rain I'll have water on the floor mostly on the passenger side. I've already torn into the cowlings and surprise! They were clean and water from the hose in the cowling flows easy through the stupidly small hole by the mudflaps on both sides. I've already sealed the third brake light. I don't think its the windows or doors. What's left to check ?

If its wet on BOTH sides then 3rd brake light..................or heater core but you should be losing coolant
Pull off passenger side kick panel and look for water trails
2003 is probably not old enough to get a rusted out windshield trough but its possible
Windshields are sealed to a ridge that runs around the opening
Around that ridge is a valley/trough
Windshield molding in in that trough
Water gets behind the molding and runs down to lower corners of trough, where it sits until it evaporates
If the paint was not done correctly in the trough then the bare metal will start to rust and eventually a hole will form and water will run down inside the cab
This is generally one side only, so if both side are getting wet then not this
