1999 ford ranger transmission

Hey guys!
Im new to the site i just got a 1999 ranger 4x4 6 cycl xlt with a bad transmission for free I'm almost done removing the transmission but my only problem is getting the two top bolts, anyone have any pointers on getting the bolts out? there really no room from the top or bottom. Let me know this really making me mad!

thanks you,
Justin Hill

Can you get a really long extension (long as in 24"+) with a Ujoint in there? That usually works on larger trucks, never pulled the tranny on my ranger yet though.

i had a body lift on mine when i pulled the tranny....it was relatively easy to get to mine, so one suggestion might be to pull up your carpet and unbolt the body mounts and lift the cab to reach the top bolts better.
