1250 on alcoa question

Is there enough room to mount a 1250 wide tire on the alcoa 15x7? It looks like with the 1050 now theres only a inch or less of a gap between the tire sidewall and upper control arm?

Do you really need 12.5 in tires?

Yea cause 33x1050 looks too tall and skinney, ive seen pics of the black lvl2 with 1250s and no lift and it looks fine, i dont want the tires out past the fender flares, just wondering if it rubs because it doesnt look like much room as it is now. Forgot to mention its going to have a superlift on it so im not cramming 1250s on a stocker.

12.5's without sticking out of the fenders will be tight, but I'm sure others will chime in with better info

whats gonna happen is the tire will bulge out in the center and its gonna wear like ****, sure it might fit in the wheel well, maybe, but its kinda dumb to put a 12.5 inch tire on a bead thats 7 inches wide...

It will wear fine as long as you run the right pressure and keep an eye on it. I'm running 12.5" tire on a 7.5" rim and the wear is perfect with over 15,000 on them. BrianJWilson is running the same thing with no issues, RNGprerunner is running 13" wide on 7.5" rims and he hasn't complained about the wear either.

Mostly what i hear is people that have never done it say its the worst and the ones who have say nothing bad about it, i just like how my alcoas look on the truck so i dont want to change them right now, but i just cant see how people put them on it looks like the tire will be smashed into the uca.

3.0 is gay i agree but how is a body lift gay? Why would i be an idiot and get superlift that doesn't get rid of IFS? Spending over 2k on a lift that still keeps the IFS and is barely taller than a body lift? F*ck that. Go deepthroat a superlift shock and make yourself feel better.

the stock 31x105.'s on my '03 lv2 use to rub when the wheel was fully cranked. If you are keeping the stock height then going with 33x10.5 or 32x11 will work and look fine not to mention be within the manufacturer's specs for rin width.

Yep. You can do it. You'll just have to run a little lower PSI in the tires than normal.

Do you have another pic from the back or the front? I though you have 1250s on there, id like to see how it looks from an angle at the fender flares if you do. They come with 10.50s stock at least mine did.

If you can take a pic of the1250s on there with the alcoas, is there any rubbing? How much space do you have between the upper control arm and the sidewall of the tire?
