'05 Ranger problems
When I bought a 05 ford ranger xlt supercab 3.0l v6, it had a electrical issues which if i want it to start up, I will have to jumpstart it. Alternator and battery is good, passed the test.
(Without jumpstarting) When I turn the key, it makes a buzzing noise, no lights on dash.
(When jumpstarting) it will start up but it shakes for awhile and then dies)
got a new starter on it, changed the oil recently, replaced all o2 sensors as well.
What's the issue here?

And what do you mean by "Jump start" specifically?
Do you mean you use jumper cables from another battery?
Or you use a jumper wire to starter motor or relay?
Also manual or automatic transmission?
There is a switch that disables starting, but its a different switch for manual or automatic

It's something with the electrical

no start
you need to have a voltmeter or test light. a voltmeter would have identified a battery or alternator issue. As it will start with a jump start would indicate an open circuit some ware. You should use a volt tester and .trace the circuit at the battery. When you use a jumper you bypass the truck battery. Lamp tester available from habor freight $3.50 battery alternator tester $4.00 both are invaluable..
I feel your pain my 05 ranger was under water, hurricane sandy ,body is in exceptional condition. truck has been thru 5 states 6 dealers 7 or 8 owners. I found 14 electrical issues I dont know how it was sold by the dealers inspected. When I got it barley ran.

Because it will start with 2nd battery added there is not a problem with Starting circuit in vehicle
Where are you hooking up the Jumper cables?
Both to Battery + and -
Or are you connecting - (negative) to engine or body metal?
Its reading like you have either a bad Positive cable or bad Negative cable
In a DC voltage system BOTH + and - must pass the same AMPs for system to work
Starter motors need 60-75 AMPs to turn an engine over
If Negative cable can only pass 30amps then starter won't work
If you double the battery AMPs(2 batteries), then you can often FORCE more amps thru a bad cable or connection
This bad cable or connection will often heat up very fast where the amp blockage is
So after trying to start, run you hand over positive and negative cables to see if there is a warm spot

No, that wouldn't be the problem if you can start it with 2nd battery connected
And not a common problem with Ford Rangers, can't speak about other models
Rangers and other Ford trucks with automatics and Column shifters did have an issue with loose shifters so, so DTR sensor didn't go into Park far enough to allow starter motor activation, but shifting to Neutral did allow start up, so you can test that
This was NOT a DTR sensor issue it was a mechanical issue with shifter movement
But the 2nd battery is the key in your description, and would point to battery cable issue
