'01 Ranger has water coming in driver's side
I just found this today. Nice place you all have here.
My problem: My 2001 Ranger is taking water into the cab on the driver's side. It's dripping in from under the dash somewhere -- roughly about where the emergency brake pedal would strike the carpet if it went all the way to the floor.
Any suggestions on identifying the entry point and plugging the hole will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

As 98liftedranger stated, check for missing plugs along the lower end of the firewall.
A few other areas to check would be:
The cowl drains. These can get plugged from debris such as leaves etc. You can verify this using a garden hose and running water into the cowl. The water should exit just ahead of the door opening from underneath. If there plugged, use a straightened coat hanger and run it up the drain from the underside while running water to flush the debris out.
Kick panel screws at the bottom of the door openings.
Opening around the windshield.

Thanks for the feedback.
One question I've had is this: "Is the leakage present when parked before moving, or is it evident only after the vehicle has been in motion?"
It's raining again today so I'll get a chance to see if I have water coming in before I leave the drive way.
I'll follow up on those suggestions.
Thanks again,
Rick
