That's the same issue...it's on page 236. I got to see that truck @ Fabulous Fords Forever show in April in SoCal. Pretty nice truck. Was kinda cool seeing it up close. Of course I would have preferred seeing the Lightning Bolt, LOL.

75hp doesn't seem like that much for such an expensive mod...

The kit will give you roughly 250 at the rear wheels.

This is for a Eaton M62 blower, which for this application is technically maxed out. An M90 or an MP90 would've been much nicer....Brian McKelvy from RPS has run an Eaton M112 s/c (the same one the Lightning uses) on his 4.0 and put down around 300 RWHP.

Stock 4.0 Rangers put down roughly 170-180 RWHP, so the kit will be noticeable, but IMO it's not a very good bang-for-the-buck purchase.

Still an awesome truck, although it ripped me that Truckin' called it a mini-lightning, when he didn't have any SVT badging on it at all. It's kind of like he wasn't even trying to make it a Lightning copy, but since it was S/C, Truckin' assumed that was his goal. Now a 4.0 Reg. cab flareside with the s/c and a Thunderbolt body kit......and Leo's old Lightning wheels....mmmm. :D

Hey Leo, can you tell me the exact adapter you were running to use the Lightning wheels?

My fiancee is looking into a Reg. Cab Ranger with a flareside, and I've got plans for it already.....

Server Change - *UPDATE*

I think it is for the best that he left off the SVT badges. I think its ok if SVT puts them on but if you put them on you are seen as a "poser". I bet he just didn't want to get flamed and you can make a truck to be like a Lightning without making it a Lightning. I guess every supercharged mach 1 should be badged as an '03 cobra because it is a SC'd 4V too right? Unless you drive the Lightning Bolt or the older 5.0 concept, there is no SVT Ranger.

OMG!!! So now, since there is no Gen 4/5 Saleen Ranger built, I guess I should just drop everything and go back to stock, huh? Whew, thanks for the update, I ALMOST got carried away with it......we wouldn't want to be original or anything....

ANYWAYS, you missed what I was saying. THEY (Truckin') called it a mini-lightning...not him.

They should've just said "A Bad *** Ranger" or something to that effect.

Here's my beef about the whole "poser" situation. Everyone sh*ts a golden brick when anyone talks about making their truck into a one-off SVT, Saleen, or Roush Ranger. True, there are some people that will just put on a few badges and call it done.

Others, people like myself, take it seriously and don't want to disrespect the legacy of the said Ford division, and consequently take any and all means necessary to make it as true to the brand as possible.

Take my truck for instance. When I am finished, I will have majorly modified the suspension, interior, exterior, and the engine to meet the standards Saleen would impart on a Ranger were they to build one in THIS model year.

But in a way, the people that doubt are the ones that fuel the drive for it, so if you truly think I'm "posing", think away. :)

When it's finished, you'll reconsider.

And I won't say that they did make it, either . In all honesty though, I don't know why they don't make a current generation version. After all, they made a Ranger from 88-90, and they made several hundred Explorers from 98-01.

I understand what you're saying D, you're my bro. :)

The one for the 4.0 has been in development for a few years. It was finally released last summer. There is a rumor of another company making a hang-on S/C, similar to a Procharger or a Paxton. But that was last year when I heard about that.

I've got a 3.0, so I've mainly been researching the Whipple as of late.
