Snow Day project...

Got around to combining the Hobart plasma and welder into one cart. All made from scrap I had lying around, except for the casters.

Paint will come this summer once I finalize additions/modifications after some use....

Looks good. I'm in the process of making a welding/cutting table and a cart for my oxy-propane torch.

Looks good for a scrap piece. I like it. With my **** retentive ways, I'd have to weld up all the corners and make it smooth all the way around, but it looks good and it definitely works.

Updated!

Friend suggested a plug for both, so I wired in a 220 male plug that serves both the welder and plasma....any other ideas throw them out please!

Guts of a Hobart 625....

Originally wwnt with 10g for the plasma, but thought better as it came with 8g for the plug (though the manual says 10 for wiring). All mounted....

Wired up. 8g is a PITA to work with, but managed to stuff it into a box...

I lik the electrical, the taping of the wire nuts is a good idea.
I like the overall project all in one, nice.

My buddy who does 440v HVAC stuff turned me onto that....

anyway, b/c good is not "good enough"....updates.....

Got a suggestion to secure the tank better, here is the results. Used some eye bolts and shock absorber rubber stops. Also, rewired to a bigger box to make me feel better....
As always, I have a LONG time until painting season, so pass along all ideas....
