turned out great, the thought of building one has run through my mind many times but since im going to put a topper on it i just cant justify buying the materials just to take it off later :/

I'm reallllly diggin' it...ALOT!! But, too bad it's far too vertical for a ranger cab. :( But still...really really good work my friend.

ya me and john (demar17) might try to make one for a steppy but were not sure how it will turn out.

Might be pretty cool....use big pieces of 1/4" to fill the gap between widths. I'm sure your plans are to make it cover the entire cab like yours, but set out from the bedrail. Alot like one of those lumbar racks for a truck with a canopy. I definately like the idea.

wasnt there someone on here that sells 06+ tails....my local jy can get new ones for 45 each. thanks

Toreador4x4 has it in his sig to PM him. I got mine from Rockauto for about $70 shipped. Now the ones I have are not FORD oem parts.

there is 2 bolts going through the toolbox through the rack and through the bedsides on each side.

im thinking about building a new one...this time ill make it go straight up for about 3 inches to bring it moar outside the cab of the truck (the flat part of the rails is farther in than the cab so it looks weird i think...it doesn't stick out as far as the cab on the sides) and make it fit the angle of the cab better and also lean it in some so it matches that angle better to. also im planning on bed lining it so its easier to touch up and maby holds up better..what do u think...it will probably be a while before i do it but im just brainstorming out loud.

question for ya how does your alt hold up to the 5 lights assuming they are 100w bulbs does it discharge at idle or can it keep up?

it kicks the rmps down at idle for sure..i have a 130 amp expo alternator to..but my stereo will do the same thing.
