there are bolts in the floor, the straps keep it from shaking too much

I'm gonna weld up some cross braces or some sort.. I may try and cut the floor out more to fit the old chunk back in and put some square tube below the floor and use self tapping screws or rivits and do that to attach it.. or strips of metal ribbon and rivet it, dunno yet.

Trail gear tends to fall into the "tool box" category and i have an extended cab which is where my sleeping bag/tent normally goes anyway.

You gonna try and cut the cross bars out of the stock floor and then cut it to fit inbetween and weld it back up?
look above.
and i may cut more out w/o replacing any. idk yet. i need time and $$ to work on it at this point, i got as far as i could for free.

How is it attached right now, did you just drill different holes for the body bolts?

So if you cut the bed the way it is now on the frame so that its is squared off. You could place the piece you cut out in there and then put some cross braces on the frame to attach it to. Use the stock bed bolts. And then weld them together. I know badkarma has a welder and I know you work at a shop. AND YOUR FULL OF EXCUSES!!!

Biotch! Get this thing done. lol

I may do a baja style 2 tire side-by-side standing up kinda thing where a tailgate would be.

2 new MTZs is about $500, i can get a complete set of used tires for 500.. so idk. when the time comes I'll figure it out.
