Front Hitch and a Winch

I bought a winch 5 months ago and never mounted it, then 3 weeks ago I went wheelin' and got stuck. So... I went to the junkyard looking for a good donor receiver and just so happened to find one the exact length I needed on the back of a 90s full size Chevy. $20 Then I found a winch plate and hitch at Harbor Freight $35. Had the receiver welded to the truck, and the hitch welded to the plate $30. Multi-Mount winch set up Grand total: $85

Since mounting the winch I've never been stuck!

I usually avoid Harbor Freight when it comes to tools and parts, but I figured a piece of 1/4" Chinese steel was a safe bet.

Looks awesome!!! Did you get the quick disconnects for the winch power wires?

Thanks for the complements guys!
The whole process from finding the hitch, to finding a welder, then mounting/welding was done in one evening.

Not yet, those things are pretty expensive! But when I do, I'll run some 2-4 gauge wire down the frame rail to the back hitch.

I was thinking of bending the sides up to make handles. Good idea?

Oh and that extra width gives me a convenient step
