Rangererv's SAS thread
i picked up a 79 f-150 d44 and 9 in rear off craigs like little over 3 months ago. been workin on the rebuild of the 44 on spare time since. have a lot of time in this project. pix will show the rest.
june 20th is the teardown date. figured i would finally let everyone see what ive been doing.
pix in order from day one when i brought it home.
EVERYTHING on it had to be rebuild. it was in poor shape, but now its like brand new : )
its changed a lot
my favorite tool for the project
sand blasted the old parts
7* caster bushings
13 in shocks
had to ream the knuckles and pitman arms to fit chevy 1ton tie tod ends
will be the steering set up
running adapter on the rear untill i can get started on the 9 in rear rebuild.
yota box
johnny joints for the radius arms
just finished it up today. kinda wishin i put the white letters in. i may change it at work next week.
its got 4:56 gears i put in.
will be more progress pix as we go

Looks good man. I wish I had the time and money to do this. For now it remains but a dream.
