ABS Brake Lights, Hot Lattes, Electrical; Oh My!
WOAH What a week! My fingers look (and feel) like Swiss cheese because of all the wiring I've been doing, and all for nothing of course since none of it works! So my interior is still in pieces while I try to make my frikin' lights turn on. More on that later!
Here is my newest mod, it adds 20 ft lbs of torque:
It was like 7 bucks on eBay. I like showing off my hidden mods! I had to cut it out though, it was originally just a big white square. Too much extra vinyl.
Since my electrical adventure has been a disaster I have been driving to work and doing my daily routine with a gutted interior. Unfortunately, I forgot that when I bought this 200 degree Latte. It did not feel good between my legs on the way home
Here's my rear mounted work light. The wire is coming in through the coat hanger hole behind the driver, routes down through the rear speaker, then down the seatbelt, under the carpet, and up behind the airbag module.
Then, on top of all of this my brake light and ABS light came other the other day. So I was driving around for a few days without ABS. No biggy, but still a little disconcerting.
I took it to the shop and the mechanic takes one look at the engine bay and says "Well there's your problem right there." I have my relays mounted next to the battery on the fender wall, under the rear ABS pump thing. I had unplugged the pigtail to work on the lights and forgot to plug it back in! Luckily I know the mechanics there really well so they called me a "meat-head" and sent me home, no charge. Unless you count my dignity.
GREAT WEEK!
Here is my electrical thread. Haven't gotten any help on it yet. Hopefully someone will chime up.

And that sucks about the sticker. I knew it just didn't seem like I was getting as much as I could out of it. Maybe I trimmed the vinyl too much. Oh well.
I'm still sooooo lost on the electrical. I'm a few days of troubleshooting it away from giving to a shop to wire. It feels like I have a short somewhere but I'm multimeter impaired. I don't know.
