i believe thats pretty reasonable. I did mine on my own but i got an estimate beforehand, $190. I have 20% all around. Really hard to see out the back window at night, especially where i live, not many street lights. And i'm also one of those who back into their driveway....can't see S*** i just hope there is nothing in my way or i will just hit it. if you use the side mirrors you will be fine though.

I paid $170 OTD for mine. That was for removing the purple tint that was on the back window and the extended cab windows, 15% Llumar tint on windows, and 5% sun strip on windshield. My tint was all cut by machine too, not cut by hand so the edges are much nicer. IMO I'd only go with a shop that uses Llumar tint and cuts with a machine. We have Llumar on every window of our house and both mine and my dads trucks and like it. IDK about other brands. Isn't 30% too light for you? I regret getting 15%, I wish I had gotten 5%.

In california you cant tint your front at all, i do anyways 20% evertime, and my back is always 5 ... so far 2 tickets over the last 4 years so not too bad
as for cut by machine that depends ... the place i go in sacramento CA has YEARS of experience, and you get a lifetime warranty so if it bubbles, fades, whatever they will retint for free.

Well 50% is the lowest legal on front side windows in Ohio. It sucks but an officer was gunned down by a man in a car that had 5% tint so they changed the law.
That's why I don't want to go any darker than 35% because it's dark enough for my liking plus it shouldn't give me any problems with the law. And 15% is plenty dark for me. I still want to be able to see a little.
Oh and by the way, I don't have stock privacy glass.

Unfortunately I don't want any more issues with the law than I have to have. So at least somewhat legal works for me. The samples of 35% were dark enough for me. I've been running around the last 3 year without any tint whatsoever so it looks great to me.
Hopefully within the month I'll have enough money saved to do this.

I got my 7 windows tinted for $220. But prices are going to range state to state. As for the darkness, I have Charcoal gray 45% on front sides and 18% on the back 5. It's good to have a noticeable difference on the front sides because you will be less likely to run into problems with the law.

I think the factory privacy tint is around 20%? I plan to have the 2 side windows on my 01 done to match the factory, even if it's 20% and illegal.
On my SVT I think I will probably go with 10-15% On the rear and rear side windows, and 20% on the front side windows.
Let me know how it works out Tyler, and of course, we're going to want pictures!!! :)

I thought ohio was 35%?
I was planning on like 30 or 25 to someone what blend with the rear window..
I dont want the hassle of getting pulled over though, esp since i have a concealed carry permit and they really freak out when they pull someone over with that and approach the vehicle slowly lol.

Lol Mark, like 3 times I've been pulled over riding with my friend, cause the truck is in his dad's name and hsi dad has his CCW. I about shat the first time they asked "is there a firearm in the vehicle?". Lol I thought it was so random
I too thought Ohio was 35% sides, but that site says 50%. Hell with it, I'm going with 20% or whatever, I'll roll my windows down if i get pulled over

Windows rolled down sounds good but what if it 10 above zero and snowing? Haha. But really the guy at the shop said it was just changed not too long ago. So might've been 35% before that change. 35% is a good medium and cops typically target the stereotypically cars like civics and cadillacs. Unfortunate but true. And there is only 1 VLT meter in my county. No need to worry for me.

But yeah as soon as they come up to me I have to tell them i have a firearm in my vehicle and where its at as I always do anyways, but yeah i always have a firearm in the vehicle anyways. Thank god for the new law where I can have it in the glove box or center console.

i vote 5%. i have 5% on my back 3 windows and 10% up front and if i had my time back i would have either 5% up front and probally 2.5% out back. i payed 200 for all 5 windows. i also have my cap tinted with 5% and i did it my self and if i had time back i would have payed someone to do it

I personally find that to be perfect. I'm running 35% on the doors, and 20% on the back windows. I learned the hard way on my old truck and tinted them a couple of times til I got it right. Thankfully I was doing it so it wasn't 2 expensive. 20% was as dark as I like in the back because I had major issues backing out of my driveway in the dark with a 5 or 10%, and 35% was nice on the doors because police will leave you alone around here (michigan law is no tint on doors).
