What are Bed Replacement Options??
I have a 2006 Ranger 4x4. The bed quickly rusted after moving to NY but the rest of the body is great. So I need to replace it.
So I know I can get a used bed at the junk yard. I also know I can build my own wooden bed.
But.... what else can I get. Does anyone make a fiberglass bed? Does anyone make an aluminum flatbed? Does anyone make a utility bed I can have shipped to me and installed? What other cool options are there for premade?
I love my truck but the bed is rusting fast up here in NY. I want options that will last because I plan to drive this forever. With so many of these trucks out there someone must be making aftermarket options. Go nuts with suggestions.

1993 to 2011 beds are the same so will fit your 2006, the Mazda B-series beds as well but they have different body lines
The flareside(stepside) beds will also fit but different tailgate size, these were fiberglass sides but inside bed and tailgate were metal
This applies to regular cab or extended cab they both used the same 6ft beds
There was a long bed option for regular cabs, it won't fit any Ranger except a long bed model because the rear axle was 6" farther back on the frames, so there would be a 6" gap between bed and cab if your tried to install it in place of a 6ft bed
There were aftermarket utility beds but not sure who made them, but they would be metal
