Mom was riding with me when it happened. She ended up changing her shorts, I said more than a few cuss words and smoked 2 packs of cigarettes trying to calm down. And the woman that caused it all got cussed by the cop and got 2 tickets. Improper Driving which is about 3 points, and making an illegal U turn a fine for about $175 bucks. And to those who were wondering how I know about these things is because my dumb **** cousin had to go to court so many times that it aint funny no more. He just got his liscense back. And I drove him and waited there for him. Safelite did an ok job installing the new glass, but they messed up the headlinder a bit and the surrounding edges.

Well time to....

Well ladies and gentlemen it is time for me to say good bye. I've got a ton of crap to do and other business to take care. Plus there's still evidence that alot of members in here can't stand the fact of me being in here at all namely D. and a few others. Even though I have developed some respect for D. it's plainly clear he can't stand me at all so I'll say good bye. To D. I say this I have nothing but repsect for you. But that aint the reason why I have to go nor will it be.

Pal. That's the edited version. A few cats complained and I edited it to keep from getting banned.

Nope. I thought I was going to have to go on a parts run for my next project. It's now canceled due to budget reasons. The phone call I got and the quotes even at my local salvage yard made my wallet sick.

I don't know yet. It really depends on what I can find as far as parts go. The last time I ended up going to Florida. Do you want me to leave?

I can't even finish reading this.... a few things come to mind... first off is my co-pay is $100 so $50 isn't bad. Second, it would be better to take her to court for the cost of the window, not the $50 copay but I think you can kiss that goodbye since you didn't pay for the window. Third, have we ever heard of proper following distance? I mean, sure, it may have been illegal but if you were far enough away you should have been able to slow/maneuver without a problem. Fourth, between the ignorance and derogatory terms I'm going to say you deserve it. Sorry for whoever doesn't like it but there are certain words that are not necessary... period.

First off we were going in opposite directions. Secondly I'm not taking her to court the state of VA is. and above all else, she's lucky I didn't hit her because there was no warning at all. No signal nothing. Plus I was a witness to one of her crashes. She just can't drive. Her husband took her off his insurance and the last time she was in court she damn near got thrown in jail for contempt of court (trying to flirt with the judge). She lost her license for 2 years, had to pull 30 days, and she was also fined 5,000 bucks. It wouldn't of been that bad if she hadn't opened her mouth and try to flirt with the judge. Trust me dude. If you knew her the way we did around her you'd stay clear of her period. Plus this is the last time she'll being going to court cause of the 3 strikes law. Consider her license gone.
READ BEFOR YOU POST DUDE. CAUSE IT'S OBVIOUS THAT YOU DIDN'T. An illegal U-turn right in front of me should've been a clue as to which direction we were traveling. Plus you didn't see the photos I posted earlier. The problem was fixed.

Point being, theres plenty of idiots on the road, its best to make sure theres proper distance from everything. Its not ' whos at fault ', your still left with a damaged truck/car and have nothing but headaches over all of it. Sometimes, its best to just sit back and lat low.

After recently discovering the nightmare called ' Painting ', and spending a whole weekend on it.. I keep away from vehicles on the road that kick stones and debris up. I don't feel like re-painting anything right now, its laborious and .. Its just a pain.
Oops. I've helped some people with paint it aint an easy task. I did lay back a bit. The truck has been fixed for about a week now at least. They did a good job fixing the glass, but the cat did mess up the headliner though. yes I know how stupid people can be on the road. better than most in fact due to my huge amounts of seat time. That's also why I didn't hit her because I had just enough distance. The point is she shouldn't have done what she did, and Marie shouldn't be giving me some advice about driving. Even though it was good advice, but no need to give an ex 18 wheeler driver advice. Especially after having done it for the past 9 years. What kind of paint and where did you get it at? I talked Napa yesterday. They have alot of choices and they aint badly priced either.

Sorry about that. I thought you were a guy. My apollogies. That's good driving advice but no need to give it to me because that's instictive to me. I retired from driving an 18 wheeler due to health problems (Blood presure gets too low). I drove professionally for 9 years. But that is good advice and if I had not had some distance I wouldn't have my ranger anymore and I most likely wouldn't be here either.

It's your job to properly secure your pay load. Yeah, she should of been paying attention, but it could of just as easily been a deer, who would you blame then?

As for the abs not working, uhm, abs would of just stopped you faster...

It sucks it happened, but if you would of secure it properly with a better strap you'd wouldnt have anything to b*tch about...

Um you didn't read the earlier posts when this thread was started did you? READ BEFORE YOU POST. I did secure my load. The straps broke. Do you really think that the more expensive straps can secure 400+ Lbs at 60 mph.

Hey Shane go back to the very beginning of this thread and read please. I did secure my load. the straps I was using snapped like dried out twigs. I have not posted in here in over 2 weeks now because the problem was fixed and why this thread is still open is beyond me.
