STX/Sport Grille Vs My Chrome XLT Grille

Many of ya'll have seen my ??? on FB, but ill post here too. There is a local wholesaler that I am going to meet today to see about trading my chrome XLT grille for his 08+ STX/Sport grille that is colormatched and is the same color as my truck. So far everyone is agreement but one person that it will look kickass. They think it will not look right because of my shiny wheels/tow hooks/toolbox.
Current Grille:

I think it will look good. I'd get a chrome surround like Vista4.0 has though.

STX, color-matched Sport or even a plain black XL grille is better than the regular chrome grille, IMO. Seems like just too much black trim and body-colored pieces for a solitary chrome eyesore on the newer Rangers.

Dumbest thread ever. "Everyone thinks i should trade grilles, here's 100 pics of my truck, do you still agree??"

Because I guarantee you I'm going to see in 1-2 days a thread with new pics of your truck with that grille and I'm going to post the same damn thing. Just buy the STX grille, you know it's value. If you don't like it send it to me.

*edit* except next time i post i am going to use the word "****" like you wouldn't believe". Because I can.

i know im gonna be the odd man out here but the chrome grille IMO looks better...not to mention you wont see nearly as many stone chips in the chrome than you will in the color matched

3M ClearMask here - windshield starting to look like crap, but not a single chip on hood or bumper cover in over two years.

I agree. Since the chrome bumper was nixed the chrome grille looks outta place.

I'd do what vista4.0 did! The chrome suits your truck, but then you can still get the STX style grille.

Kept in garage FTW. Mine still looks like day-1, so I guess I'm lucky. If mine ever starts to crack or fail, and isn't covered by 3M's "including yellowing, bubbling, or cracking — or five (5) years from date of purchase" warranty, I would gladly have it done again.
