Side Mirror Question

Hi, I saw a few threads about people putting different year side mirrors on their rangers and was wondering where can you get the different year mirrors/

Because I have an 04 xl Bare Edition (No CD, No Cloth Interior,No Power) that has really small and basic side mirrors and i want to change them to some mirrors that are bigger and fit the look of the truck.

Check my avatar....It came stock with those mirrors. Called "Styled manual mirrors". Yours now are often referred to "flags" cuz...well....they look like flags.

Junkyard is your best bet. You can get ones off ebay, but ive heard multiple complaints from non OEM/FORD mirrors. Vibrating mirror glass is a complaint of the aftermarket ones.

ebay has some junkyard sales online.....LKQ comes to mind. They are a nationwide chain of junkyards, that happen to have an ebay store as well. I always frequent the local LKQ yard aka "new car junkyard"(late models).

i bought a set that came off a truck off of ebay, and i loved them, but one of them got destroyed backing out of a garage, and bought one of the re-pop ones from ebay, and that thing sucks, it bounces alot, and i have to keep adjusting it

i really wish i didn't destrop the oem one, but thats what happens when your pizzed at your GF,a nd try backing out of a 1 car garage in a hurry

Those are still aftermarket repop crap....you don't want those...you want genuine FORD parts off a wrecked truck...or ordered from the dealer. Mirrors are somthing you don't want to skimp on.

I really like the OEM 06+ Mirrors, they really aren't that expensive from the dealer.

It's a 2004 Edge, I changed out the mirrors, badging, grille, tail lights, and side markers from those of a 2006-2008. The wheels and tires came off a new Explorer, and I also took off the tailgate emblem, welded up the holes and put the new bigger Ford logo in the middle.
